Montreal street scenes, rural scenes with enchanting old houses, country village scenes are the favourite subjects of Denise Lalonde.
Born in Napierville (Quebec), she has lived in Beaconsfield for the last 20 years and is very active in the art community. She is a member of several artists' associations: Lakeshore Artists' Association, Dorval Artists' Association, Beaconsfield Artists' Association.
Denise is an extremely disciplined artist. She paints regularly: "I am not conscious of the time passing", she says.
She likes to work with different mediums like watercolour and acrylic.
She studied with well known artists: Harold Boyce, Jean-Paul Ladouceur, Maurice Domingue, Zoltan Szabo, Frank Webb, Judy Betts and others. She has had several solo expositions and regulary exhibits with various groups. Her paintings can be found in many private collections in Québec, Canada and the United States
