Born in France, Martine Legrand studied design and composition at the Montreal Centre for Visual Arts and at Stewart Hall Cultural Center, Pointe-Claire. As well, after two years at the Sayde Bronfmann Center she decided to stop taking lessons.
She was the recipient of first prize at the June 2004 Pierrefonds / Senneville exhibition.
Martine Legrand is represented by la galerie Philippe in Rosemere, the Marie Ancelin Gallery in Kamouraska, la galerie Arts N.D.G. in Montréal, and the Stewart Hall Gallery in Pointe-Claire.
Sha has participates in the Symposium de Peinture de Kamouraska. One of Martine's works was entered in the 2005 Montréal Festival of Visual Artists.
