Artistic Background: Originally self-taught in pencil and oils, Brenda

the Park, Beaconsfield Library, St.Paul's Anglican Church, Lachine, Dorval
City Hall, Dollard des Ormeaux Cultural Centre, Roxboro Library and Stewart
Hall Art Gallery (Pointe-Claire Art Lend 2003 - juried), and was the Dorval
Library's Artist of the Month in April 2005. Brenda is a member of numerous
Artists' Associations. In the summer, she exhibits
regularly in Ste Anne de Bellevue for Les Amis de Canal.
"My medium is oil because of the creamy texture of the paint. My favorite
subjects are doorways, windows, walkways, entrances, café and storefronts in
France and Quebec City, and streets of quaint villages such as Pointe-Claire
Village, QC. Most of my artwork has lots of foliage and many flowers. "
My thoughts:
"I can't wait to start a new painting, and once underway, each one is
different and it casts a spell over me until I have completed it, much like
reading a great novel..."
