Born in Montréal, Québec, Johanne Neander has experienced Canadian
life and seen its beauty from coast to coast.
In her estimation, travel is the best teacher. Nothing can equal the
magic created when nature's form and beauty are captured on canvas.
Johanne has been working with acrylics for the last two years. The
challenge created when reproducing the effect of shadow and light is a
passion for her. Here realism is depicted with care and fidelity.
She is especially interested in the warmth and the charm of scenes from
the Côte D'Azur region. For her, these places evoque memories of pleasant summer walks taken along narrow cobblestone streets in numerous picturesque mountain villages of Provence.
Nature is present in these statements of human design. The warmth of
the sunlight along with the quiet and serene atmosphere create wonderful and inviting scenes.
