Born in Dolbeau (Lac-Saint-Jean) Province of Quebec, Canada on December 23rd 1940, Gisèle Rivard (JZEL) is the sixth child of a family of ten.
Early in her childhood, she observed nature, all the colours and shapes with each passing season. She quickly developed an observing eye.
Growing up in an environment where Art of all shapes and formats incites her to express her feelings.
It is through classical ballet that Gisèle really discovers what Art is all about.
While living in Quebec City for a few years and residing in Kirkland since 1978, she frequently seizes the opportunity to go back to her roots.
From the early 90's, JZEL (Gisèle Rivard)
has been sharing her love for nature in her paintings. Her inborn talent keeps growing as time goes by.
