For as long as I can recall, I have always enjoyed drawing. I pursued a Degree in Fine Arts from St.Laurent CEGEP. I discovered watercolour by taking classes with a wonderful teacher and artist, Mr. Helmut Gerth. His enthusiasm and love of the medium greatly impressed me.
I perfected my drawing skills with an equally gifted and most sensitive teacher and artist Mr. Athos Samueli, by plein air sketching, portrait and life drawing. But I believe that my current teacher and mentor Mr. Jacques Hébert truly had the greatest impact on my decision to become a watercolourist. His passion, great help and generosity helped me to further pursue this intricate medium. I still learn through his workshops, cherishing mostly those in Charlevoix.
I am the Life Drawing Coordinator for the Beaconsfield Artists' Assocation, and I am also a member of the Kirkland Artists' Association. Of all of my activities, my passion remains to paint in the great outdoors, for as long as the weather permits. Beautiful old houses full of soul are a favourite subject of mine. Painting is by far a most beautiful chalenge and creating, a wonderful gift.
