In the thirty years she has been a Beaconsfield resident, Loise Bernard Seekings, through her art and teaching,
has become a familiar name to those who appreciate impressions effected by both oils and watercolours.
Her work has been shown in many group and solo exhibits. For several years, Seekings taught children and adults in
Beaconsfield and Baie d'Urfe as well as travelling to Italy with a group from John Abbott College. Louise feels that she is
more herself when she is teaching, sharing her expression, responding to something larger than herself.
She considers the most important message that she can share with her students:
"You must bring to the pallet a cleanliness and purity of colour."
