Ruth was born in Germany, and immigrated to Canada in 1961. She has always been involved in art.
Ruth's love for wildlife and travel brought her to Africa on a photographic safari in Kenya and Tanzinia, Egypt,
China and Australia.
She uses photos from her trips and covers a variety of subjects: landscapes, flowers, still-life and children.
Her paintings are in private collections in Germany, Vancouver, Ontario and Quebec.
Intrigued by old masters,she discovers the rich texture of the oil medium and studied with various well known Canadian painters
like Tanya Axiuk, and touched on watercolour with Barry Lovegrove.
